In 1955 the race saw a Norwegian winner for the first time when Per Malling in the Sunbeam Talbot Mk3 took victory. There was French and German representation on the podium with Georges Gillard and Hanns Gerdum in second and third respectively.
272 cars made the finish. In the rally, Sheila Van Damm of Britain won the coupe des dames in a similar Talbot to what Malling drove.
